You will continually revolve around which character is best apt for whatever situation the game throws at you.ġst Core persona games all follow a 4 step plan A. You must be aware of your elemental affinities at all times, as you will get one-shot. You will constantly be exploiting enemy weaknesses, making use of technicals along with buffs and debuffs along the way. You must approach it as if it is legitimately Persona 5 but with real time combat. This game is much more similar to Kingdom Hearts or YS than it is any musou.
Make no mistake, if you play this game like a musou: you will die. Musou DNA is present due to the game's engine, and it shares similar combo strings (though as I have said before, this is more so a trait of basic hack n slash than "musou.") While each character has similar inputs, their playstyles and what they offer is very different. This game was originally going to be Persona Musou, but it eventually became an Action RPG - which is what the game has always been officially marketed as. Your hesitation in playing it is exactly why I keep stressing this point.

They've sold their spinoffs less than 60 dollars before at msrp. It's a 20 dollar bandai namco beat em up hack and slash at best.

Y'all can't complain about getting milked when you're gonna pay for a full price of a game. Atlus has sold their spinoffs at a cheaper price before as well. It's a pc port with no anti aliasing capped at 60 fps with reused assets. it's fun but it aint worth a triple A price, even with my opinion thrown away.
